Kings Place

A heart toward mid-century modernism, and the tenant of indoor outdoor living, was the starting point for this courtyard home.
Kings Place

This modern home revives a timeless mid-century design approach with an eye toward comfort and growth. An interior grid of steel columns was the organizing system for the residence and one can find these posts moving inside and out, allowing for a clean palette of glass, stone, stucco, and terrazzo. With no particular outside views to capture, the architecture turned from the exterior and focused within. This approach permitted the program to be moved toward the perimeter of the site, allowing an interior courtyard to be established, providing a refined aesthetic and functional heart to the home.
